We’re excited to introduce UAE Version 2.8.8! With Elementor and Elementor Pro 4.1 now released, UAE is fully compatible and ready to go alongside them.
Along with the compatibility updates, we’ve also polished a few important areas – including improvements for multilingual sites, better accessibility support for screen reader users, and fixes to ensure widget styles load correctly wherever they’re needed.
What’s Improved
- Fully compatible with the latest Elementor and Elementor Pro 4.1. If you’ve updated Elementor recently, UAE keeps working without a hitch.
- Sharper translations for German, Spanish, French, and Dutch. We refreshed the wording so the plugin reads more naturally in each of these languages.
What’s Fixed.
- WPML now recognizes widget link fields as translatable. Link fields weren’t showing up in WPML’s Advanced Translation Editor, so you couldn’t translate them. They’re picked up correctly now.
- Site Logo links to the right homepage in every language. The default Site Logo link was pointing to the wrong language’s homepage on multilingual sites. It now sends visitors to the correct language-specific URL.
- Search form is friendlier to screen readers. An incorrect ARIA role was attached to the search form, which could confuse assistive tech. We removed it for cleaner, more accurate screen reader behavior.
- Widget styles load properly in header, footer, and before-footer templates. Atomic widget styles weren’t being applied on the frontend inside these template areas. They now render exactly as designed.
