We’ve also fixed an accessibility issue, restoring the “Skip to main content” link for keyboard users on themes that UAE doesn’t natively support.

What’s New

Build with Angie AI and MCP-compatible assistants. UAE now supports MCP (Model Context Protocol) through a new Abilities API, letting Elementor’s Angie AI assistant and other MCP-compatible AI tools build and manage your headers, footers, and templates using plain-English commands.

Instead of clicking through settings and the editor, you can simply describe what you want and let your AI assistant help build it. With AI Tools, you can:

• Ask Angie to create and update headers, footers, and templates with simple instructions.
• Build layouts faster through conversation instead of manual setup.
• Manage and update existing templates using natural language.
• Connect MCP-compatible AI assistants such as Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor, and other supported AI tools.

What’s Fixed

“Skip to main content” link works again on unsupported themes. When UAE replaced the theme header, the “Skip to main content” link could go missing, breaking keyboard navigation on themes that aren’t natively supported. The link is now retained, so keyboard users can jump straight to the content as expected.

Upgrade to UAE Version 2.9.0 to start building with Angie AI and MCP-compatible assistants, and to enjoy more reliable keyboard navigation across your site. We recommend updating when you’re ready.

Posts Widget – Improved Performance on Sites with Large Numbers of Categories and Tags – Fixed an issue where the Posts widget could generate an excessive number of taxonomy queries on websites with many categories and tags. This could increase server load and, in some cases, cause frontend slowdowns or errors. Query handling has been optimized to improve performance and stability.

Upgrading to UAE Pro Version 1.45.0 gives you access to AI-powered page building with Angie AI and MCP-compatible assistants, while also improving Posts widget performance on larger websites. We recommend updating to take advantage of these enhancements.

What’s Improved:

• Elementor 4.1 Compatibility – UAE Pro is now fully compatible with the latest Elementor and Elementor Pro 4.1 versions, so you can update your page builder with confidence and keep designing without interruptions.

What’s Fixed:

• Integrations – Settings Not Saving on Subdirectory Installs – Fixed an issue where Integration settings could not be saved on WordPress sites installed in a subdirectory, ensuring your integration configurations now save correctly regardless of how your site is set up.
• Nav Menu – TranslatePress Compatibility – Fixed a fatal error that appeared on translated frontend pages when the Nav Menu widget was used with TranslatePress on PHP 8.0 or higher, so your multilingual pages now load smoothly for every visitor.

We’re excited to introduce UAE Version 2.8.8! With Elementor and Elementor Pro 4.1 now released, UAE is fully compatible and ready to go alongside them.

Along with the compatibility updates, we’ve also polished a few important areas – including improvements for multilingual sites, better accessibility support for screen reader users, and fixes to ensure widget styles load correctly wherever they’re needed.

What’s Improved

• Fully compatible with the latest Elementor and Elementor Pro 4.1. If you’ve updated Elementor recently, UAE keeps working without a hitch.
• Sharper translations for German, Spanish, French, and Dutch. We refreshed the wording so the plugin reads more naturally in each of these languages.

What’s Fixed.

• WPML now recognizes widget link fields as translatable. Link fields weren’t showing up in WPML’s Advanced Translation Editor, so you couldn’t translate them. They’re picked up correctly now.
• Site Logo links to the right homepage in every language. The default Site Logo link was pointing to the wrong language’s homepage on multilingual sites. It now sends visitors to the correct language-specific URL.
• Search form is friendlier to screen readers. An incorrect ARIA role was attached to the search form, which could confuse assistive tech. We removed it for cleaner, more accurate screen reader behavior.
• Widget styles load properly in header, footer, and before-footer templates. Atomic widget styles weren’t being applied on the frontend inside these template areas. They now render exactly as designed.
